HI! I just saw for the first time this morning, my male budgie went on top of my female budgie. How long will it take for her to get pregnant? and will she get pregnant right away? Thanks!

First of all, as I am sure you must know, birds don't get 'pregnant.' They lay eggs. When birds breed the male transfers his sperm to the female and she will then lay fertile eggs that might hatch. I say might because not all eggs become fertile and not all of them hatch.

It takes a various amount of time, depending on the breed of bird, for them to lay their eggs and incubate them. You should contact a bird breeder for more information on care etc.
