pesticides and small dogs

I have a small Yorkshire Terrier and a large mosquito problem in the back yard. I am wondering if I can spray some type of non harmful chemical to rid the yard of mosquitos without harming my pet, who loves to roam the yard?

Hi Victoria!  I do not believe there is anything out on the market that you could use that would be safe for your dog.  You may want to talk to your veterinarian, as some vets sell dog-safe products like the one you're looking for.
I have a little shih tzu, and I am faced with the same problem.  The mosquitos are terrible this year! I have not found any of the dog-safe products to work.  If you find anything, please let me know!  I wish I could be of more help!
