Dog shaking his head constantly and crying

Question
Since 2:00 hrs. my dog (3 months old afghan puppy) awoke me being very inquiet, sometimes crying like if she had a pain and shaking his ears and head constantly. She was not wanting water till now 14:00 hrs. I took her to the veterinary but he said he found nothing on her.  We told him about the constant shaking head and ears and he checked the ears but found nothing apparently. The dog continues the same, crying for certain short periods, then sleeping, then awake, then shaking head like crazy.  The doctor gave her antibiotic-cream for her ears and taken.  Is this correct? I am very nervous and afraid that maybe she has another kind of parasite or maybe another illness that we dont know..... What shall I do? Please answer me. Thank you for your kind response.

Answer
Sometimes ear pain may not be from the ears at all but from something like the teeth.  In a young puppy that is a possibility as their teeth come in at 3-4 months of age.  If the ear creme does not help, then I would ask the doctor to check the mouth and to check the eardrum to see if there is a deeper infection in the middle ear cavity.
