Question
My pet toad just ate a monarch caterpillar. Will this be poisonous to it?

Answer
I really don't think the toad would have eaten it if it was. I know Monarch butterflies have a toxin in them to repel birds but are you sure it's even a Monarch? The Viceroy looks just like a Monarch.
I have no way of looking this up and telling you for sure. You might want to call a poison control center or an expert on amphibians.
