drooling; smaking

I have an Australian Cattle dog who is a little over a year old.  The last couple of weeks when she eats or drinks ahe drools really badly and smacks.  She doesn't have anything stuck in her throat and her teeth are fine.  What could be causing her to drool and smack ?

Have you looked all over in her mouth? This is usually a mechanical problem but she could be having some nerve issues that is making it hard for her to eat.

I would have her looked over by the vet as soon as possible. There are many things it could be, but it requires a vet to look her over to find them.
