pregnant chihuahuas

Do pregnant chihuahua's collect all sorts of things? because my teacup chihuahua is pregnant and everytime i find her under my bed she has a pile of all sorts of things such as combs, brushes, wrappers, jewelery, pens, etc. is this normal?

Hi Stephanie:  she may be nesting....Making a home/nest for her babies.
They tend to collect soft things for the nest.  Never heard of a comb being soft?  Who knows.
I am sure she knows why she is doing it.  Wish they could talk!
