Tooth decay

Question
My puppy had parvo and intestinal parasites at 5-6 weeks. We pulled her through and she seems to be doing very well except for her teeth.  The Vet who has treated her tells me that this is due to the high fever she had when the enamel was forming. I'm worried because now, at only age 1, it looks like her teeth are decaying and actually disintegrating VERY quickly. Is there any solution other than to just be very good with teeth cleaning?

Answer
The enamel erosion is probably from lack of nutrition when she was so sick and medication that she was on.  I would recommend brushing her teeth daily with pet tooth paste and having them professionally scaled and polished once a year.  Unfortunately, the damage is done.  You can certainly consult a veterinary dentist in case they would have any tricks up their sleeves.
