toxic and nontoxic plants/cats

Question
Is the pothos plant nontoxic or toxic to cats??? On two different websites it says that its toxic and another its nontoxic.  We have a cat and we had the plant about a year with the cat and we had no problems.  I am also wondering about the purple heart plant also...nontoxic or toxic?

Thanks.

Answer
In the searches I have done I have found several references to pothos being potentially toxic, so I would say it would be prudent to be cautious with this one.  It is quite possible that your cat may not be one to eat your plants, which is why you have not run into complications from them.  In regards to the purple heart, I have not found report of toxicity and in fact it is actually used in some feed for farm animals.

My sincere apologies for the delayed response.  A family situation has presented itself and caused a delay for me being able to respond.
