English Spaniel - scooting!

Please may I trouble you to help regarding our dog, [female] seems to scoot quite a bit. Is there something that could be done besides expressing her glands? She starts scooting just about a week after having her glands expressed!

Scooting is a sign of itching. The anal glands sometimes are inflammed or even infected.  But sometimes there are other reasons for the itching.  Tapeworms that crawl out of the anus and flea bites around that area can do this.  There is sometimes irritation in the folds of the vulva that can cause some irritation.  Have the vet check to see if there are other reasons for the irritation and itchiness.
