Boosting a dogs Immune System

Question
I have a 5 yr old German Shepherd that suffers from chronic pneumonia for about a year now. Currently she is on 3 types of antibiotics, no grain diet and many vitamins and mineral supplements.  Can't seem to get her off the antibiotics without her relapsing. Our regular vet says she is Auto immune deficient. Heard there was some drugs given to humans to boost immune system, maybe called immuno-globins (?)  Have you ever heard of this being used on non-humans, if so, would it be beneficial in this case???

Answer
Hello Deni.

I am not aware of human drugs except for Interferon, but I have only used that on cats.  I would recommend Transfer Factor...this is a natural supplement isolated from colostrum (the first milk that contains antibodies) and helps boost the body's Natural Killer Cells by 400+% to help the body fight off infection.  There is a dog-specific product (TF Canine Complete) or you could give the human caps.  Visit the websites below for more details.

I take it myself for allergies and to stay healthy--it seems as if there is always someone sick at work (we even had 4 people with Strep Throat) and I usually never get sick.  I also give it to my cats who have a variety of problems, including chronic respiratory problems and inflammatory bowel.  It is an AMAZING PRODUCT and should really help your dog to get off antibiotics.

You can order the products online at www.my4life.com/drfry but make sure to enroll as a Preferred Customer (no cost to enroll--just click the ENROLL tab and follow instructions) to receive the wholesale pricing.

GOOD LUCK!
