Dogs eye

Question
The white part in my dogs eye has been red for a week, the black socket part has recently started covering half her eye ball, and she keeps the affected eye shut while leaving the other eye open what could this be?

Answer
Any time an eye is effected the dog needs to see a vet. The longer you wait the greater the chance of the dog losing her eye. His eye hurts and that is why she has it shut.
She has injured it and so the vessels and pigment are trying to cover the eye to protect it.

Call your vet and get her in asap.
