Question
what should I do with my dogs bad breath, took him several time to vet remove some loose tooth ann very expensive and he is about 11 years old maltese

Answer
A dental cleaning should be done to remove any tartar and plaque from his teeth....many dogs need to have this done YEARLY.   Dental disease is the #1 problem among pets and can lead to kidney and liver damage if left untreated.  The reason it is expensive is because dogs have to go under general anesthesia to have a dental--they won't sit still in a dental chair like you or I to have our teeth cleaned.

You should try to brush his teeth daily with pet toothpaste.  You can also use a dental rinse called CET Hygeine Rinse to help keep the bacteria from building up in his mouth.   You can give him a bit of fresh parsley to help with his breath and some products also contain chlorophyl in them for breath fresheners for dogs.
