white ring around outside of dogs eye

My dog has a white colored ring around the outside of his eye.I don't know what it could be or if it is  serious?

I have no way of knowing either. This is something that should be seen by a vet if the dog does not usually have this. It could be something that has been there all along and you just noticed it, or if the dog is elderly or has injured the eye, it could be something more serious.

I always say with eyes, check with your vet in person!
