My dog seems to have a hard...

My dog seems to have a hard time eating on one side of his mouth.He also
is sneezing and has one runny eye on the same side that he seems to have a
hard time eating on.He is very lethargic.I have taken him to the vet and
$300.00 dollars later he is no better. They took xrays,that showed sinus,
ear and teeth all to be ok.They gave him some kind of doggy antibiotic and
he seemed better for the time he was on them.His last dose was Monday and
now he seems worse.He is almost 2 years old and a French Brittany.What
could be wrong?

If the antibiotics seemed to help, he may need to be on them for a longer time.  X-rays only show long term changes to the bones, but many acute infections have not gotten to that point at the time of X-Ray examination so the X-rays would be negative.
