Mother and puppy

Hi Hilary!Please help me with this subjest.I have already writen to another vet on this site and they put outside of my expertise so please try and help.Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

The mommy dog always carries my puppy by the leg.Today,when I went to feed him,the puppy had blue on his leg.PLease help!Thank you so much for your time and suggestions!

Hi Erica.  I would definately take your puppy to your veterinarian as the mommy dog may have broken the leg, broken blood vessles in the leg, or severed a vein.
It is not uncommon for mother dogs to carry their babies by their limbs, although this can cause problems for the baby!
I would definately have your veterinarian look at your pup's leg to ensure a quicker recovery from whatever injury ails him/her.
