Answer
Hi Andrew!  Your poor baby!  My sister has a bichon frise and she is just the sweetest little dog!  Unfortunately, Advil, Asprin, Tylenol, ect. are deadly to a dog.  For this injury veterinary care will definately be needed.  I take it that the knee surgery was either for a cruciate ligament repair, or from patella luxation.  Both of these surgeries are very invasive and will contain materials like metal and plastic to mend the area internally.  If you did hear something pop, another surgery may be needed to either put pins or plastic in place, and no pain killer will help the situation.  I would definately suggest getting your baby to your veterinarian as soon as possible, for the longer an injury is left untreated, the longer the healing process and the poorer the prognosis for complete healing.
Please keep me posted as to how she does!
