My eight year old male cat is always hungry. Out runs me to the kitchen meowing to eat.

Hi Bobbi.  Is your cat overweight?  If so, he may be in need of a diet or reduced calorie food.  Talk to your veterinarian before making any dietary changes.  If your cat is eating this much and is underweight, geting him to your veterinarian for testing may be crucial.  He may have an intestinal parasite or hyperthyroidism in which some testing would be required to diagnose.
