Ivercide

Question
Do you know the side effects of Ivercide?  My veterinarian's office is closed
and I've been searching the web, but have had difficulty finding anything
about the medication (makes me a bit uneasy).  My dogs are both taking it
for scabies and one who used to be extremely picky has had a remarkable
increase in her appetite.

I have never read that as being a side effect of Ivermectin treatment.
I have seen dogs treated for years with this stuff and have never heard of that. Maybe the dog with the bad appetite didn't feel well and now she does from being treated so she has a renewed energy and appetite.

There is tons of information about Ivermectin online. Unless you know what you are looking for most of it is from people that have opinions about it and some are from the manufacturer. Ivermectin is the drug in Ivercide. It is used off label in dogs and is made for cattle and swine.

Are you sure the dogs have scabies and not demodectic mange?
Both are manges but the former is contagious to humans and the latter is not.
