Sore on my cats mouth

Question
For the last two or so months, my cat has been getting small sores around the bottom part of her mouth. They don't seem to bother her too much, except when the scab gets rather bulging and hangs.  I'm not sure what to do, can you help?

It is difficult to diagnose what is going on with your cat without examining her.  However, it sounds as though she has developed what is known as eosinophilic granulomas or eosinophilic plaques.  Now that is just one of the many things your cat may have.  This syndrome is fairly common in cats and is relatively easy to treat.  Have her examined by your veterinarian so that she can receive the proper treatment.  Without treatment it will worsen; she may develop an infection secondary to her initial condition and since it involves her mouth, she may become uncomfortable to the point where she does not want to ear.

The sooner you seek veterinary care for her, the sooner she will feel better.
