Question
last week our (me and my wife) chihuahua was swelling in the face and we
determined it was a allergic reaction to a spider bite. we took here to the
emergency vet and they gave her a short term steroid shot and some
benadryl in a shot as well. the also send us home with some steroid and
benadryl to be taken orally.

2 days later she started to swell up again but not as bad, we took her to the
vet and they shot her up with some stronger long term steroid and told us to
finish up with the already oral med that we had left.

tonight she has some bumps. one bump on the back of her head that looks
like a not, one on her nose that looks like a small swelling bump and one on
her eye that looks like a zit.

taking her back to the vet tomorrow.....

she is a house dog and not expose to other dogs.

any one experience any thing like that and might know what is going on?

Answer
Many things in the house can cause allergic reactions. New rugs, blankets, clothing, smoke, fireplace smoke, foods all can cause them.

Check around the floors carefully because she might be rubbing her face on something that is causing this. She can still get bit by mosqitoes etc while in the house. That's how millions of dogs get heartworms.

You need to really look around the house and the yard. She could be getting into ants even while going potty outside.

That is the only way you will find what it is. Investigate!!
