Dogs tail

Question
Our 7 month old chihuahua has started holding his tail down most of the time.  He will also yelp if we raise it up. Do you know what might be causing this?

Answer
He may have anal gland problems. He may have some stool stuck to his bum - take a look. He may have injured his tail or his back. Put one drop of rescue remedy (from healthy food store) into his water for 3 days. Hot soak his anus for 5 minutes 3 times a day for 3 days (that will help if it is anals).  If this does not help, give him one dose of Hypericum 30c one time.
