My dog has 2 extra teeth

Question
my dog is a husky/lab mix, and she is 4 months old, and we just noticed that in her bottom jaw, she has 2 extra teeth, behind her other teeth, its like she has a second row of teeth...is that normal, or could that be her adult teeth coming up and going to push her baby teeth out?

Answer
These are not normal nor are they her adult teeth. These are what's called supernumerary teeth, literally extra teeth. Unless you are talking about them being RIGHT in the same area as the baby teeth. Are you talking about the canine teeth?
If so, and you don't mean she has a row of teeth behind her teeth in the front, then yes, these are secondary teeth that need to be pulled. She shouldn't be getting her adult canines in yet (6 months usually is the age) but the molars come in at 4 months and that might be what you are seeing.
If they don't come out by the time she is spayed in the next month or so have the vet pull them out then and save money on the anesthetic.

It first read like you were seeing a second row of teeth. What she has is common but not normal no. Very common!!
