Dog sleeping in room

Question
I have a clean 9month old golden retreiver named Max. He sleeps right next to my bed at night. People say it is not healthy for me if I breath the same air he has been breathing. I cant open the door for air circulation because I cant get to sleep if the door of my room is open. So is it true that my health will get affected if he sleeps in my room? I hope not because I have a strong bond with him, and we are used to sleeping in the same room.

Answer
You can tell those people that they are ridiculous. I don't know where some people get their information! There isn't any problem breathing the same air as your dog--you are not going to catch anything by being in the same room with him.  Just think how dirty the air is in shopping malls, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. with all those sick people walking around coughing and sneezing--going to the bathroom and not washing their hands and touching things, and magically you don't get sick being in the same room as them!
