age to stop breeding

At what age would I stop breeding my great danes - male & female?

Since Great Danes are giant breeds and they usually don't live past 10 yrs old, I would think that the end of the breeding age would be around 5-6 yrs old. That would be the equivalent to a lab that could live to 13 and so you would stop breeding them at age 7-8.
