Blood and genitle area?

This weekend we went to play with the Russian hamster we have. In his bedding we found a lot of blood for a little guy. He has seemed to tame down a lot from what he used to be like. (running a lot, playful, non-stop) He has what it looks like a very swallon genital area...? Its a dark red in color and I have no idea what is going on. Could you please help me?? What is it?? and what should we do??

As my profile says I don't do hamsters at all. I know hardly anything about them, but what you are seeing is problably his testicles. They get rather large for such little animals.
