Question
Hi,

WE HAVE A STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER MALE AND ARE WANTING TO GET A FEMALE PUPPY..oUR MALE STAFFY IS VERY SPOILT AND IS TREATED LIKE ONE OF MY CHILDREN..I JUST WANTED TO KNOW WOULD HE BE OK WITH ANOTHER PUP IN HIS HOME??
MY STAFFY LOVES MY MUMS DOGS AND PLAYS WITH THEM WHEN HE GOES ROUND THERE..ITS JUST WHEN HE IS FIRST INTRODUCED TO A NEW DOG HE DONT SEEM TO LIKE THEM .ONCE HE IS TAKING FOR A WALK WITH OTHER DOGS HE SEEMD RELAXED AFTER HALF AN HOUR OR SO AND IS LET OFF LEAD AND WILL RUN AND PLAY WITH THEM..IS THIS A GOOD SIGN THAT HE WILL BE OK WITH ANOTHER PUPPY???

Answer
Yes I think a new puppy would be fine.  But take your male along to the breeder to see how he interacts with the new puppy and try to pick the one that is a bit submissive to him.  Just make sure you supervise the two when they are together for the first few weeks.  I know several people that have more than one Staffie and they get along with their housemates but often are upset by strange dogs.
