Question
Hello. I have a 2 year old German Shepherd. His paws are white fur. Lately i have been noticing that inbetween 2 of his fingers its pinkish. He is constantly licking it. Tonight i spread apart his 2 fingers and i saw a brown growth type thing. I looked on his other paw and it is normal. Should i be worried about this or do you think it will go away on its own. They say a dogs mouth is very clean. How about i put some peroxide on it? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Answer
His fur is turning pink from him licking it. The iron in their saliva turns it pinkish orange.
This growth will not go away by itself. You need to have the vet look at it and remove it.

It if gets to large from waiting then a lot of damage can be done by the removal so get him in soon and have it removed while it is still small.
