Question
I have an 8 year old Wire fox terrier who is healthy and has been on life abundance dog supplements.She has been doing well on them but I am concerned that maybe they aren,t complete enough as she is reaching her senior years.I am thinking about switching her to Nuvet plus as this just seems to be a better supplement.She does eat a very good quality dog food called Now senior weight control put out by Purcuream.But I am concerned that she stays healthy as she grows older.She has been a very healthy dog but at age 4 she had to have her annal glands removed.She has had no further problems since although I have kept her on a high fiber diet.My question is do you think the Nuvet plus would be a good change for her?I am hoping that is also good for digestion as the life abundance supplement was good for that.Although I see the Nuvet plus supplements claims to be very good for that also even though it doesn,t contain the probiotics.I am just trying to make sure before I make the switch as I want whats best for my dog.My dog is also on the grizzly salmon oil supplement.But I am hoping to do what I can for her to help prevent catoracts,kidney problems etc.But if you think this a good supplement let me know.

Hi Marcie,  Well, I sure wish all pets had an owner like you!
I would go with the NuVet and then add a probotic.  Probiotics should be used 90 days and then off for 30 days.  I like the brand called Pearls... ( found at GNC stores or even Walmart)
