Bringing my pet rats back to California

Question
Hi Jerry, I flew my pet rats (there's two of them) out here in the Philippines...my parents are going to stay out here for awhile, and things are not looking out too well for me so I'm thinking of flying back to California next month. What sort of documents would my pet rats need when we fly back home? Do we need to pay any taxes? Will they be quarantined when we get at the airport? Any sort of information will be much appreciated. Much thanks for taking the time to read this.

Thanks,
Phoebe

Answer
Dear Phoebe
I recommend you contact Sue Andrews at Pet Transfer in Oakland, CA
Even though you might be coming into LAX, She would be happy to
provide useful info to you.
You should not have any problems.  Probably a health cert
I am sure there are no taxes, etc.  Did you take the rats from CA to
PI?  Any evidence that they did originate in USA might be helpful

Let me know how this works out for you
