Relocating with pet dogs from India to Portugal

Dear Rachel,  We are moving to Portual from India and are taking our two pet dogs with us.  Could you please let me know what the Portuguese government requirements and regulations are to bring dogs into Portugal?  Also is it possible to avoid quarenteen and if so, what are the requirements and if unavoidable what is the quarenteen time?

Hi Rose,

Thank you for your inquiry!  All of the EU requires that pets coming from India have a blood test done at a registered lab prior to traveling to the EU.  They must wait for a minimum of 3 months after the blood test result before they can enter the EU.  Then there is no quarantine that would be required.
