Moving back to the US with our dog

Question
My husband is being transferred back to the U.S. from Durango, Mexico. We had planned on driving out (as we have done many times before) but with the travel warnings in Durango and neighboring states, we have no safe route to the border. Now it has been decided we will have to fly. We have a cocker spaniel we bought here in Mexico seven years ago that is going with us, but I cannot find a way to get her out of Durango. All the airlines that fly out of here do not accept pets as cargo and she is too large to go in the cabin.
I have also read about the airport restrictions on high temperatures. We are flying out the 29th of June and it is going to be over 85 degrees at most if not all of the airports.
I am really worried about this. We are also dealing with all the problems of an international move and I am trying to get all these details worked out so that things go as smoothly as possible.

Answer
Visit: www.ipata.com  There are pet shippers in Mexico.  For entry into USA, you only need a
health cert issued within 10 days of travel and a valid rabies vac and cert
I can not help you with the logistical problems you might face in Durango.  Sorry
