Sea urchins and live rock

Question
Are sea urchins bad for live rock? We just got one and where it eats leaves the rock bleach white is the urchin kill my live rock ?

no urchins arent bad for rock, well, maybe... hmmm


they are eating the algae... but they maybe scraping the rock to get it... when they poo, you will see sand/rock bits coming out...

the rock is collateral damage...

Urchins are perfect for keeping the tank in check...
