Compatibility of Rose Tip Anenome & Shrooms

Question
Very new to saltwater tank (in 4th month).  Have a rose-tipped anenome for about two weeks now.  Added some additional live rock with mushrooms.  The anenome has moved and touches some of the mushrooms.  Is this a problem? One mushroom has shriveled up on one side.  Should I move the rock with the mushrooms or will they move themselves?  If I move them, how do I do it?  Thanks.

Answer
Hello bonita,

in my opinoin, 4 months is not enough time to 'establish' an aquarium to be able to handle inverts and corals and anemaones and all that..

maybe mushrooms, maybe some zoanthids and stuff, maybe a softie type of corals/leather, but anemone... good luck...

They are very sensitive to water quality... you will need top notch water...

They move when they are unhappy and looking for something/someplace better.  more light, more flow, more food, more protection, something..

when they are happy, they wont move at all..

They will irritate and bother and kill things that they touch.  thats what they do... If you want to try moving the rock go for it, but the anem will move again..

Good luck and please let me know how things work out for you
