Question
70-gallon, well establishes tank (~3 yrs) ~75 lbs live sand, ~75lbs live rock, 2 clowns and 2 tangs. Standard lighting (nothing special)

1) i'm having trouble filtering the bottom of my tank with my "gravel" cleaner because i have live sand and it tends to end up being pulled out in large quantities so I've neglected the chore. Any suggestions?

2) i want a good bottom feeder to go with my two clowns and two tangs, any suggestions?

3) can you recommend a good wavemaker type powerhead device to get better water circulation?

4) I'm getting ready to move from a biowheel filter to a canister filter. Can i plumb it so that there are multiple pick-up and put-back sites to improve the filtration?

5) I've had trouble in the past sustaining anemone in my tank, but no trouble with my fish, can you give me a few specific water qualities to target imrpovement on?

Answer
1. how about a sand sifting star fish? or brittle stars? it also depends on what substrate your using, best if its medium fine for the 2 star fish i suggested

2. as above

3. tunze streams with a controller, damn expensive but you won't get better. other cheaper powerheads don't seem to do well on wavemakers or controllers.

4. i guess its possible to have multi pickups but there is a risk of cavitation and un-even supply and return, best ti invest in 2 canisters if possible and run the rtn with spray bars.

5. i think the nenny trouble could be to do with lighting, they need strong light and good flow. not really recomended to keep nennies as they are pretty hard to keep happy. if you were to buy the tunze streams it would not be a good idea to have a nenny anyway, they like good flow and tend to get mangled in this type of powerhead.
