my tank
hello, i have two questions. my fist question is do i have enough filtration in my tank i have a marineland 200 power filter.

My second question is my tank over stocked

Hi Ben,

Good questions.

A marineland 200 power filter is rated for aquariums up to 50 gallons.

Regarding your stocking levels, as long as you can successfully house all of your marine animals together, along with keeping your water parameters at adequate levels, I believe you should be okay.

Keep in mind the recommended minimum tank size for a chocolate chip starfish is 20 gallons... this is not to say that you can't successfully keep it. Also keep in mind that most fan worms are extremely intolerant of poor water quality.

The biggest concern with nano's is the vastly fluctuating water parameters, in terms of nitrates and phosphates.

In conclusion, make sure to do your regular water changes, using reverse osmosis water. I would also add a protein skimmer, which will greatly help in terms of filtering the raw waste from the water. From looking at your image, it looks like you have room for a small skimmer.
