Regal Tang bullying

Question
Hi I have a regal tang and a French angel which I bought a month ago. Both are similiar in size but the tang keeps bullying the Angel. I have noticed marks on the side of the angel, its pectoral fins are missing large chunks and yesterday I noticed it had a damaged eye. I am not sure if the tang bullied a rusty angel to death 3 months ago ( it mysteriously vanished from the tank and has never been seen)
Can you advise as I thought these fish would live quite happy together

Hello David,

Sorry to hear about your troubles.  Fish are definately difficult to pick out which will be good community mates and which wont.

These two fish should get along fine, but the blue hippo may become bossy if he is the oldest or has been around the longest.

You might want to try rearranging/re-aquascape the tank, to take away any advantage the hippo tang might have.

AFter the tank has been re-arranged both fish will be scrambling to find a new home/sleeping area to bother with each other.

Hopefully after they find thier new home, they will good with each other.
