going away for 9 days. Tank light on or off? Have flouresent low heat lights only on the tank.
It's at a comfortable lower temp to begin with.

Good choice to go with fluorescent lighting versus incandescent.

Put your light on a timer. For a saltwater aquarium, you should give your fish between 8 - 10 hours of light each day. However, while your gone, you could reduce this to 6-8 hours.
