worms ?

I have been into salt water aquariums for about 15 years and have never seen what looks like a 3/8 inch long whitish worm pointed on both ends in my canister filters. I don't think they are a problem but I don't know what they are . Do you have an answer ?

Hi Greg,

You are correct, more than likely it is a harmless worm species.

From the description you gave, perhaps it's a species of marine flatworm. There are many species of flatworms that have pointed looking ends.

If you can, send in a close up picture, this will help to identify it.
