Question
I have a 29gl tank and i have 3 dwarf gourami, 5 black neon tetras, 6 cherry barbs, and 3 redeyed tetras. do you think this is too much fish? they all seem pretty happy but i just wanted to know what someone else thought.

Answer
Dave,
from what you describe you are within the limits of your tank.
Depending on your filtration, tank maintance etc will also effect the capacity of the tank.
It is in your and the fishes best interest to keep the population somewhat sparse.
Sometimes in fish, less is more...you want the tank to be interesting but not overly "busy".
Also, with a lower pop. you are less likely to cause stress to the fish, therefore diminishing the possibility of disease.
Good luck and enjoy your fish.
