Question
Hi i have a fighter fish that i keep in a glass bowl on my desk & its getting quite fustrating having to empty, clean, & refill it every couple of days to keep it clean. i have a 26 gallon hexagon tank that holds 3 angel fish, 3 ballon mollies, 1 regular molly, a cat fish & a yellow guarnnomi (sorry i cant spell it lol) i also have 5 baby mollies that are in a breeder net in the tank. my question is can i put the fighter fish in the tank. im just not sure cause it is in cold water now and if i trasfer it to warmer water i dont know if it will affect anything & also i dont know if it will get along with my other fish.. PLEASE HELP ASAP!! thank you!!!!!

Answer
The larger tank would be a great home however...one of two scenarios will take place, the betta will be picked on by the angelfish and its fins will get shredded and the stress over time will most likely kill it or the betta will pick on your angelfish, however will most likely not do as much damage to them but can. You could also get a betta box that could be placed in your larger tank and protect the betta and angelfish from one another eliminating the opportunity for someone to be picked on. Best of luck... happy fish keeping.
