Question
i have 2 pair or shubunkin. on of my shubunkin is sitting down in the tank since morning and dont swim alot. She didnt even move ehen i feed them. but thats for sure she is alive. she some times dont allow other fishes to come near to her/him esp. other spieces like silver sharks. My shubunkin is approx. 3 to 4 inches. few days back my fishes was suffering from white spot. but i treated them after concerning with my pet dealer. he gave acq. salt and some purpel color med. i put both of them in the tank and turn on the heater over night. now white spot are finished from my fishes and all of them are doing fine except one shubunkin. can u tell me what happen to my fish and how to identiify male and female in it?

thanks

Answer
arslan,
could be simple stress that has effected one of your fish more than others.
some are just stronger and can shake of the effects quicker.
you should do a partial water change, add new carbon to the filter and get rid of the meds that you added.
the salt is not a problem as the GF like it and its good for them.
I cannot sex your fish without actually seeing it and even then its not a 100% sure fire.
keep your tank water cool, and don;t overfeed.
he may recover on his own the only thing you can do is to make the enviorment friendly to him and by cleaning up the residual meds and changeing the water to lower the nitrates and generally clean things up that is what will help him to recover.
that all said, he maybe was just hit harder with the illness and simply can;t bounce back.
only time will tell...
good luck!
