Question
How many inches of fish could I keep in a 15 gallon aquarium and do water changes only once in a while with Easy Balance?  How many inches could I keep and only change the water once in a without
Easy Balance also?  I am trying to keep my aqua-
rium, but I have a skin condition and want to do water changes as little as possible.

If you know, let me know how many inches of fish I
can keep and how often I should change the water
with Easy Balance and without Easy Balance also.  Then I can decide what to do.  In case I find out that this doesn't work out for me, I would like to consider getting a 5 gallon aquarium.  There won't be as much water to change.

I would also like the same questions answered re-
garding a 5 gallon aquarium.  Thank you.

Answer
Hi Dipan;

In my opinion, all aquariums need water changes at least every couple of weeks. If you get a smaller aquarium you still have to do them just as frequently. There just aren't any healthy shortcuts to this aspect of fish keeping. I guess if you kept maybe a couple of fish in there (of 2 or 3 inches each) you could get away with monthly water changes, but don't overfeed. Stay away from messy fish like goldfish, cichlids, non-dwarf gouramis, etc.

What you might consider is getting a betta and maybe a cory cat in a 2 gallon tank. You will still have to make water changes every week to 2 weeks, but it is on a much smaller scale.

Followups welcome
