cloudy water and foam

Question
Last week my fish tank got cloudy. I treated it with API accu-clear. I've tried it 3 times (waiting over 24 hr.s each time as per instructions)and it's still cloudy. now there is also white foam on top of the water. I had given them cat food for a couple days when I ran out of fish food, but have done this in th past and did not have this problem. Can you tell me what to do?

Hi Rich,
 Never feed your fish with cat food.  You are lucky your
fish are still alive.

 You need to change 25% of the water today and every day for the next week and hopefully that will do it.
