Question
I have a four year old budgie who lost is love recently and i bought hm a new 6 weeek old baby. THe baby has doe a lot of sleeping ad eatig and cleaning. The two of them have not fought yet but the budgie seems to watch the new  baby from outside the cage. They spent the night together on the same oerch and did not fight. DO u thik they will become friends. I did introduce them in neutral territory. Also how long does it take for clipped wings to grow back? And also my baby has these black markings on his beak is this okay?

Answer
Hello Amanda.
Keep a watch on the baby's beak.  The spots may go away, but if they get bigger, take the baby into a Certified Avian Vet to get it checked out.
It is possible that they will become friends.  Keep an eye on them, and if it seems lie they're not going to get along, then do separate them.
There really is no time limit for clipped wings to grow back.  Each bird is different (just like people and how long it takes for hair to grow), but usually the flight feathers should grow back in about 8 weeks.  Some birds do take a little bit longer, but they will grow back.

I hope this answered your questions.

Good luck and God Bless.
