hi i have had my amazon for 6 yrs , ive always had him up in my room but he was starting to become very noisey , my mum has got 3 different parrot downstairs so someone said about me putting him down with them . since he has gone downstairs with the others he has started biting me very hard and only now and then letting me stoke his head , have i done the wrong thing as he doesnt want me near him ? he seems alot happier with them but i cant have him out as he doesnt get on with one of the other parrot as he is a male to . the thing is they want the same female parrot .. can you help please as this is tearing me up inside many thanks marianne

Hi, Marianne.  Thanks for posting.

Your amazon is biting now because birds prefer other birds to humans.  He prefers the other birds now.  If you want him to remain the way he was, I'd recommend you take him back upstairs to your room.  I'm sure he'd prefer being downstairs with the other birds, but what do you want out of this bird?  If you want a tame parrot, keep him upstairs away from the other birds.
