I hvae 2 pregnant minis that due anytime now. We have straw in their stall but we have never delivered a baby befor. How long after the baby is born can you switch them back to sawdust?

Hi JoAnnne,
            You can move them off straw onto shavings when they are two weeks old. If you can use shavings instead of saw dust, tat will be better for the horses. Saw dust can very easily get into a horse's airway and can cause respiratory problems.
