Possible breeding?

Question
I have a 16 yr old Quarab mare who is about 15 or so hands.  I also have an 11 month old welsh/QH cross who have been running together for about 1 1/2 weeks.  The 2nd day after them being together she came into heat and he spent the next 3-4 days attempting to mount her like crazy.  From what I could see, he appeared to be about a foot too short to reach her but now I don't know.  She has dark staining all down the inside of her back legs and I'm worried that he has bred her.  I recently read that a mare can have bloody discharge if she was overbred?  It doesn't look like she has anything actively flowing from her but she is not very receptive to me looking back there.  I wonder now if he was able to reach her.  She was VERY receptive to his attempts, albeit impatient with his clumsiness. What's your take?

Answer
Hi- With him being only 11 months old I wouldnt worry to much-however she could have squatted for him. If his testicles have dropped, he could have successfully bred her. You can buy a mare pregnancy test from Jeffers I believe. thanks for your question. Heather
