11 yr old Arab mare

Hi,  I recently purchased an Arab mare about 2 or 3 weeks ago.  When I went down to see her she was very calm and sweet( still is) but now she wont let me touch her feet with out acting like im going to kill her or something. Is she going through another cycle or is she just trying to test me and see whos boss.   ** ive had a mare a couple months ago go hay wire on me about her feet and completly break anything and everything holding her.  Im way scared about mares and there feet.

Some horses have not been well trained and worked with enough for them to be comfortable with them.  You need to spend a lot of time with her and start working with her feet.  At 11 yrs old, she may never let you near them.  I have a 3 year old that is the same way.  Until she understands you do not want to hurt her, it will be difficult.
