feeding ribbon snake

Question
Hi. I have had a ribbon snake for a little over a year now. i usually feed him minnows. Then I tried feeding him worms. They are very small, I think they were called red wrigglers. At first he wouldn't eat them but after a few tries ghe ate one. Shortly after he would spit it out. the worm was still alive too. He does this every time I feed them to him also. Why does he do this? Also what else can I feed him. Frogs, pinkies, crickets?
 Thanks,
Pat

Answer
lol Maybe he doesn't like the texture. There are some prey that just doesn't appeal to some snakes. There are some that will turn up their nose at a mouse yet will happily chow down on a hamster.

I would try pinkies (Probably have to be live but I don't know your snake) or crickets. I have seen ribbons eating crickets but I have not had a ribbon large enough for a pinkie.
