Question
I have a ball python and one of her anal spurs fell off. She seems to be fine, but is she? Is this something I should be worried about? Will it grow back?

Answer
Hello Mike,

You have nothing to worry about. When you say fell out, was this after a shed?

Ball Pythons shed their skin completely. This includes the a layer of the spur and the sexual organs.

Don't worry about it even if it was not this way. The spur is a remanance of feet they once had. The purpose in it now is to entice females into position for mating.

Hope this helps. If you need anything else please feel free to contact me again.
